Sustainability and Environmentally Preferable IT Practices

Frontier Acquisitions and its JV partners support Federal sustainable acquisition objectives and complies with applicable requirements of FAR Part 23 and GSAM Subpart 523.1. In the performance of Polaris task orders, Frontier Acquisitions supplies and uses environmentally preferable products where applicable and practicable.

Products delivered to the Government, acquired for use in performing services at Federally controlled facilities, or furnished for Government use are selected to prioritize energy-efficient, water-efficient, biobased, recovered-content, non-ozone-depleting, and otherwise environmentally preferable attributes consistent with Federal acquisition policy.

Frontier Acquisitions maintains an environmentally responsible approach to information technology procurement and lifecycle management. If electronic hardware is procured as ancillary equipment under a Polaris task order, Frontier Acquisitions will offer Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT®)–registered products at the Bronze level or higher, where such designations are applicable and available. Preference is given to ENERGY STAR®–certified equipment and products sourced from established manufacturers, with limited, documented exceptions where compliant alternatives are not operationally suitable or available.

Frontier Acquisitions is committed to reducing physical resource consumption by prioritizing cloud-based systems, limiting printing, and issuing IT equipment only as operationally required. Company-issued IT equipment follows a standard lifecycle management approach that emphasizes extended use, repair-first practices, and responsible end-of-life handling. All equipment undergoes secure data removal and is recycled through manufacturer take-back programs or certified electronics recyclers; disposal of IT equipment in landfills is prohibited.
